Google Calendar Sync: The Complete Guide
Learn how to set up two-way synchronization to never miss a custody change again.
Why sync?
Syncing lets you see your custody schedule directly in Google Calendar, on your phone, tablet or even smartwatch, without needing to open Home Assistant.
Step 1: Enable advanced options
In the Custody integration settings within Home Assistant, check the "Advanced Options" box to reveal the synchronization settings.
Step 2: Authorize Google
Follow the link that appears in your Home Assistant notifications to authorize access to your Google account.
Good to know: the calculation window
By default, Custody calculates 365 days ahead. If you check the advanced options, you can extend this to 730 days to see your holidays 2 years in advance.
Not using Home Assistant?
You can also download a calendar file directly from the web simulator and import it into Google Calendar, Apple Calendar or Outlook.
